April 11: Cosmic Consciousness & the Human Being

The consciousness of the human being is attuned to the influences and stimuli of the material world. When we allow those influences to determine the course of our life and behavior, we are unable to sustain a conscious connection with the divine Universal Spirit. Then we cannot be cosmically conscious, nor can we have a cosmic consciousness, because our consciousness is limited; it is open only to the forces and influences of our culture, our karmic inherence, and the limitations of our personality being. 

If a human being thinks, feels, and acts in an undivine fashion, that is an indication that the influences that dominate our thoughts, emotions, and actions are undivine. Only when we break our connection with those undivine influences can we become linked with the divine Universal Spirit. Only then can and will the human being act in accordance with the Spirit, in accordance with the truly Cosmic Consciousness.

Even in an undivine state, a Divine Principle remains present within the center of the microcosm our personality being inhabits. 

If the human being can, with the help of this awakened Divine principle, gain insight into the forces that influence us, we can adopt an attitude of neutrality that dissolves our unholy egocentric consciousness. This creates the conditions necessary to allow the restoration of the truly Cosmic Consciousness in the human being.

Our coming Public Talk Series examines the most fundamental questions and values ​​of human existence. We will have conversations centered around self-knowledge as the path to transformation and subsequently transcendence.
