Finding Peace and happiness seems to be a most treasured goal of almost everyone contemplating the question: “what is the purpose of my life?” Yet, how we attain this goal brings perhaps the most contested responses in the Universe!

Almost everyone has an idea of how to attain this goal, yet almost nobody fulfills it. Conflict and strife are all around us and often overwhelm us. We console ourselves that what we have is good enough, that we should accept our lot and swallow any bitterness with a dose of pride. But does this solve anything? Aren’t we still filled with inner conflict? Aren't we still wondering why it was not possible to find true peace, lasting, inner peace? True peace: not something bestowed upon us by external authorities, but something that wells up from within, as an unstoppable force, an inner self-authority.

Yet we already have this inner authority, this inner peace; but we don’t know it, or at least, we don’t always listen to it. We know it because the inner conflict we are feeling is a conflict we create in ourselves. It is a conflict between that which is in us - and every other being - and that which separates us. It is a conflict fueled by our egocentric, divisive, and self-serving actions concerning the world and others. And it can only be overcome by a complete transformation of our being, a complete turnaround, from self-serving, to self-giving.

The Golden Rosycross describes a path by which a new reality can manifest within us, and around us, and through all humanity.
